Aviation

Throughout his life, Aaron Tollin remains an aviation enthusiast and amateur historian. He built balsa models as a kid and hung out at local GA airports as a teen, getting as much unofficial stick time as he could. As a teen, he worked weekends and holidays with his father, an antique furniture restoration artist. He was awestruck the first time he was actually IN a real aircraft .

Aviation later figured into Aaron's life. During the Vietnam Era, while serving in a C-130 squadron in South East Asia, Mr. Tollin was selected to be rotated early and sent back to the States for U.S. Army helicopter school. Simultaneously, Aaron was "drafted" onto the U.S.A.F. Pacific Swimming Team. At this crossroads in his young life, Aaron chose to remain in the Pacific and swim for the Air Force. After this award-winning swimming season, the Army withdrew the offer of helicopter school for Air Force personnel. After his four-year stint in the Air Force, Aaron returned home to College and a career in marketing.
